उत्तर: हुदहुद की चोंच नाखून काटने वाली 'नहरनी' से काफी मिलती-जुलती है, इसलिए इसे कुछ जगहों पर 'जामिन' चिड़िया के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इसके अलावा, दूब में कीड़ा खोजने के कारण इसे हमारे देश में कुछ स्थानों पर 'पदुबया' भी कहा जाता है।
