The Queen’s Proclamation “ The Prince, Chiefs and People of India” was made to hand over the complete control of British Raj to British Monarch from East India Company under the name of Secretary of State. The Proclamation was made by the first viceroy Lord Canning on 1st of November in Allahabad(Prayagraj) through Durbar.

Religious Impact- The act promised us Indian of equality and freedom in having different religions. The British had no more interference in the people's religion and customs.
