Hint: Both centimeters and meters represent the units of the length of an object. We have correlation between the centimeters and the meters which are represented by $1$ meter $ = 100$ centimeters. Here we will take one example to know and understand properly.
Complete step by step answer:
We know the correlation between the centimeters to meters which is given by the relation –
$1$ meter $ = 100$centimeters
Example: The cloth of measure $5$ meters can be converted into centimeters.
$5$ meter $ = 5 \times 100$ centimeters
Simplify the above expression by finding the product of the terms –
$5$ meter $ = 500$ centimeters
Since, meters can be converted to its equivalent centimeters by using the basic conversational relation.
Additional Information:
There are three systems of units.
1. SI (system international)
2. MKS system (Meter Kilogram Second System)
3. CGS system (Centimeter gram Second System)
Note: Always remember the difference between the different systems of units. Since one meter and one centimeter differ a lot and differ by hundred. When we can one it does not make any sense. Any measure of length should be any numeric value along with its appropriate value.
