Hint: Nuclear reactions are those reactions in which two or more molecules either collide or join to form a new molecule resulting in the liberation of a large amount of energy. Nuclear reactions are of two type’s mainly nuclear fission reactions and nuclear fusion reactions.
Complete step by step answer:
Fusion is the process of the combination of two lighter atoms into one large atom whereas fission is the breakdown of the large atom into smaller lighter nuclei. Thus both the processes are opposite of each other and vary drastically from each other.
The latent heat of fusion is defined as the amount of heat gained by a solid object to convert into liquid form without the change in the temperature. If the heat consumed by the substance is (Q), and m is the mass of the solid substance then the latent heat of fusion (L) is given by the formula:
$
Q = m \times L \\
L = {Q /m} \\
$
Where;
Q= Heat consumed by the substance
L= Latent heat of fusion
m= Mass of the solid substance
The full form of CNG is Compressed Natural Gas; it is clear, odourless and non- corrosive in nature. It is the more efficient, cheaper and greener alternative of fuel as compared to petrol and is environment friendly. It comprises mainly methane $(C{H_4})$also known as marsh gas and is compressed in order to ensure that large amounts of fuel can be stored in the vehicle.
Note:
CNG vehicles are actively used since the price of CNG is one third the price of gasoline, and they are pollution free. Also the amount of the gaseous pollutants emitted out by such vehicles is reduced by as much as 90-95%.
