Hint: Focus on pros and cons of being money-minded in practical life.
Complete step by step answer:
In the present materialistic world, everything is ruled by money. After a certain point of time in life earning money has become the sole goal of many individuals. It is an undeniable fact that money or strong financial health is a key to obtaining many goodies in life or achieving many dreams in this globalized world. But I still am against the motion “Money is important for happiness.” Money can buy materialistic things but it cannot buy many spiritual aspects like inner peace, happiness, a kind heart etc. Human beings have been chasing money to such an extent that they have sacrificed a peaceful and healthy living with their near and dear ones for long, hectic and monotonous working hours. A tendency has grown to avoid the much needed things in life like a healthy diet, following small hobbies, getting enough sleep in a day etc. It leads to development of more illnesses and health disorders at an early age. Despite working to their fullest capacity, human beings have not been able to be happy and are continuously striving for more growth for increasing their earning capacity. All these also result in development of unhealthy behaviour like constantly comparing oneself with others- at workplace, at home or even with random strangers met at a function or in a public place, jealousy, the willingness to pull someone down in order to make one’s way up etc. Yet other unhealthy practices include corruption, malpractice, smuggling and other criminal activities-all in the quest to get more money. But, in this process, people forget to live the life they so dreamt of as a child, which was not connected with the materialistic world. Therefore, in order to live a healthy and fulfilling life, one needs to focus on what one likes to do in life or develop one’s passion, rather than solely chasing money.
Note: Express your views either in for or against the topic . Do not mix up the two arguments.
