Option C – New Delhi is the capital city where the National Institute of Disaster Management is located which is the capital of India as well. This institute was established in the year 1995 when the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction made a proposal for the establishment of a national centre to look into the matters of natural disaster. It was earlier named as the National Centre of Disaster Management which was constituted by an Act of Parliament in the year 1995 under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation.
In the year 2003 on 16th October the name was replaced by National Institute of Disaster Management and shifted to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
