लेखक के बारे में 

सर्वेश्वर दयाल सक्सेना का जन्म 1927 में उत्तर प्रदेश के बस्ती जिले में हुआ। उन्होंने इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त की। प्रारंभ में उन्हें जीवनयापन के लिए संघर्ष करना पड़ा, लेकिन बाद में वे प्रमुख पत्रिकाओं के संपादक बने। उनकी रचनाएँ साहित्य जगत में विशेष रूप से लोकप्रिय हैं। इनकी कविताओं में समाजिक जागरूकता, मानवता, और प्रकृति के प्रति गहरी संवेदनाएँ व्यक्त की गई हैं। 1983 में उनका आकस्मिक निधन हुआ।
